The Mohammed VI International Academy of Civil Aviation (often called AIMAC) is a special public university in Morocco. It was started in 2000 by King Mohammed VI of Morocco. This academy helps train people for important jobs in aviation.

AIMAC teaches students to become air traffic controllers. These are the people who guide planes safely in the sky and on the ground. It also trains air traffic safety electronics personnel. They make sure all the electronic systems at airports work perfectly. Plus, AIMAC educates future aerospace engineers who design and build aircraft.

The university works closely with the Moroccan Airports Authority. It also gets guidance from the Ministry of Equipment and Transport. AIMAC follows the rules and suggestions from the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). This makes sure its training is top-notch around the world.

AIMAC's Global Connections

AIMAC is well-known internationally. The ICAO has recognized it as a leading training center. It was the first French-speaking school in the "Trainair" network. This network helps aviation training centers share knowledge.

Working with Top Aviation Schools

AIMAC has strong ties with the École nationale de l'aviation civile (ENAC) in Toulouse, France. They work together on many courses, especially for air navigation. This means teaching how planes find their way in the sky.

In December 2011, AIMAC, ENAC, and École des Ponts ParisTech teamed up. They created a special aviation MBA program. This program started in Casablanca in March 2012. It helps people learn about managing businesses in the aviation world.

Other Important Partners

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) from the United States is also a partner. AIMAC and the FAA work together on online learning courses. These "e-learning" courses make it easier for students to learn from anywhere.

Concordia University chose AIMAC to set up a regional center in Casablanca. This Canadian university offers MBA courses focused on aviation. This gives students even more chances to learn about aviation business.

AIMAC also has partnerships with other big names in aviation. These include Eurocontrol, which manages air traffic in Europe. Another partner is Aéroport de Paris, which runs major airports in Paris. These connections help AIMAC offer the best education to its students.
