Adalto Batista da Silva (born on August 30, 1978) is a former professional footballer from Brazil. He was known by his first name, Adalto. He played as a left-back, which is a defensive position on the left side of the field.
Adalto's Football Journey
Adalto started his professional football career in 1999 with América de Natal in Brazil. Soon after, he moved to Uruguay to play for Nacional.
Playing in Different Countries
Adalto played for Nacional from 1999 to 2001. After that, he moved to Japan for a short time in 2001, joining Consadole Sapporo.
He returned to Brazil in 2002 to play for Palmeiras. During his time with Palmeiras, he also went on loan to Samsunspor in Turkey from 2003 to 2004.
In 2005, Adalto played for Guarani in Brazil. Later that year, he moved to Portugal to join Vitória Setúbal, where he played until 2008. He also played one match for Vitória Setúbal's B team in 2006.
Later Career
Towards the end of his career, Adalto played for two more clubs in Brazil in 2010. He joined América and then Marília.
Major Wins
Adalto achieved some important victories during his career:
- Taça da Liga: He won this Portuguese cup in the 2007–08 season with Vitória Setúbal.
- Uruguayan Primera División: He won the top football league in Uruguay twice, in 2000 and 2001, with Club Nacional de Football.
