Adam Alis Setyano (born on December 19, 1993) is a professional football player from Indonesia. He plays as a midfielder for the Liga 1 club Persib Bandung. Adam also plays for the Indonesia national team.

Adam Alis: A Football Journey
Adam Alis started his football journey in his hometown of Jakarta. He trained with the youth team of Persija Jakarta, a very famous club in Indonesia. However, he did not get a spot on their main team right away.
Early Career Steps
Adam played in lower football leagues until 2015. Then, he got an exciting chance to play football in Bahrain. This was a big step for him!
Playing in Bahrain
In 2015, Adam Alis joined East Riffa, a club in the Bahraini Premier League. He played six matches there. Even though it was a bit tough to get a lot of playing time, this experience helped him learn a lot about playing football in the Middle East.
Back to Indonesia with Barito Putera
After gaining international experience, Adam came back to Indonesia. In 2016, he found a starting spot at Barito Putera. This club plays in Indonesia's top football league. He played in 34 matches and scored two goals. This helped him feel more confident about his football career.
Rising Star at Arema F.C.
Adam Alis became well-known across Indonesia when he joined Arema in 2017. He was a hardworking attacking midfielder. He played in the 2017 Indonesia President's Cup, a big tournament. Arema won the championship, and Adam was named the best player! This amazing performance helped him get called up to the senior national team.
Adam played his first league game for Arema on April 15, 2017. He played the whole game, which ended in a 0–0 draw against Persib Bandung. He helped his team score goals by giving assists. He scored his first goal for Arema on August 30. Adam played in 31 matches that season and scored one goal.
Challenges at Sriwijaya F.C.
Adam Alis became very popular. For the 2018 Liga 1 season, he moved to Sriwijaya. This club wanted to become a top team again. They signed many highly paid players. However, the club faced some difficulties during the season. Adam and other players decided to leave the club. They had helped the team reach a high position in the league before leaving.
Finding a Home at Bhayangkara
In July 2018, Adam found a new team, Bhayangkara, which is based in his hometown of Jakarta. Bhayangkara had won the 2017 Liga 1 title just before he joined. Adam has played more games for Bhayangkara than any other club. He even moved his family to Solo when the club moved its base there.
Adam made his Bhayangkara debut on July 21, 2018. He often helped his teammates score goals with his assists. He became a regular player for Bhayangkara. His performance improved a lot.
He scored his first goal for Bhayangkara on September 22, 2019. He scored two more goals in November that year. Adam was even named player of the month for November 2021! He scored important goals that helped Bhayangkara reach the top of the league table.
By 2022, Adam had scored a total of 9 goals for Bhayangkara. His great skills as an attacking midfielder made him a top choice for the coach. In the 2021–2022 season, he played in 26 matches and scored 4 goals.
Back to Arema F.C.
On April 5, 2022, Adam decided to return to his former club, Arema. He helped Arema win the Indonesia President's Cup for the third time. For Adam, this was his second time winning this cup with Arema. He played in 18 matches for Arema before moving to another club.
New Adventures with Borneo Samarinda
On January 26, 2023, Adam signed a two-year contract with Borneo Samarinda, another Liga 1 club. Just four days later, he made his debut and scored his first goal for the club! This helped Borneo Samarinda move up to 4th place in the league table.
Adam continued to score goals for Borneo Samarinda. He scored against Persikabo 1973, Madura United, PSIS Semarang, and RANS Nusantara. He scored five goals in his first season with Borneo Samarinda.
Playing for Indonesia
Adam Alis played his first international game for the Indonesia national team on June 8, 2017, against Cambodia. On May 25, 2021, he scored a goal in a friendly match in Dubai.
He was called back to the national team in August 2023 for a friendly match against Turkmenistan. Indonesia won that game 2–0. In January 2024, Adam was part of the squad for the 2023 AFC Asian Cup. He played one game in that tournament against Vietnam, which Indonesia won 1–0.
