Adam Alis Setyano (born December 19, 1993) is a professional football player from Indonesia. He plays as a midfielder for the Liga 1 club Persib Bandung. Adam also plays for the Indonesian national team.

Adam Alis's Football Journey
Starting Out in Football
Adam Alis began his football training at his hometown club, Persija Jakarta. However, he didn't get a spot on their main team. So, he played in smaller leagues until 2015. That year, he decided to try playing football in Bahrain.
Playing in Bahrain
In 2015, Adam Alis joined East Riffa, a club in the Bahraini Premier League. He played in six matches there. Even though it was tough to get playing time, this experience helped him grow as a player in the Middle East.
Back to Indonesia
After gaining international experience, Adam returned to Indonesia. In 2016, he joined Barito Putera, a team in Indonesia's top league. He became a regular player, appearing in 34 matches and scoring two goals. This helped him feel more confident in his football career.
Becoming a Star at Arema
Adam Alis became well-known when he joined Arema in 2017. He played as an energetic attacking midfielder. Arema won the 2017 Indonesia President's Cup, and Adam was named the best player in the tournament! This great performance led to him being called up to the senior national team.
He played his first league game for Arema on April 15, 2017, against Persib Bandung. He played the whole game, which ended in a 0–0 draw. A few days later, he helped set up a goal in Arema's 2–0 win. Adam scored his first goal for Arema on August 30, 2017. He played in 31 matches for Arema that season and scored one goal.
Moving to Sriwijaya
Because he was becoming so popular, Adam Alis moved to Sriwijaya for the 2018 season. This club wanted to become a top team again. They signed many high-paid players. However, the club faced money problems during the season and couldn't pay salaries. Adam and other players left the club after not being paid for months.
Joining Bhayangkara
After leaving Sriwijaya, Adam joined Bhayangkara in July 2018. This club was based in his hometown of Jakarta. Bhayangkara had won the 2017 Liga 1 title just before he joined. Adam has played more games for Bhayangkara than any other club. He even moved his family to Solo when the club moved its base there.
He made his debut for Bhayangkara on July 21, 2018. Adam often helped set up goals for his teammates. He became a regular starter for Bhayangkara and improved his performance.
Adam scored his first goal for Bhayangkara on September 22, 2019. He scored two more goals in November 2019 and was named player of the month. He scored the first goal in a 3–0 win against Persija Jakarta on December 4. He played in 27 league games and scored 5 goals in the 2019 season. The 2020 season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the 2021–22 season, Adam scored his first league goal on November 6, 2021. He scored two goals in a single game on December 2, helping Bhayangkara stay at the top of the league. He scored another goal on January 14, 2022. Adam scored a total of 9 goals for Bhayangkara since 2018. He was a key attacking midfielder for the team.
Back to Arema Again
On April 5, 2022, Adam signed a contract to return to his former club, Arema. He helped Arema win the Indonesia President's Cup for the third time. For Adam, this was his second time winning this title with Arema. He played in 18 matches for Arema in the 2022–23 season.
Playing for Borneo Samarinda
On January 26, 2023, Adam signed a two-year contract with Borneo Samarinda, another Liga 1 club. He made his debut four days later and scored his first goal in a 2–0 win. This win helped Borneo Samarinda move up to 4th place in the league. He scored more goals in February, March, and April 2023.
Playing for His Country
Adam Alis played his first game for the Indonesian national team on June 8, 2017, against Cambodia. He scored a goal in a friendly match in Dubai on May 25, 2021.
He was called back to the national team on August 28, 2023, for a friendly match against Turkmenistan, which Indonesia won 2–0. In January 2024, Adam was part of the squad for the 2023 AFC Asian Cup. He played one game in that tournament against Vietnam, which Indonesia won 1–0.
