Adam Musiał was a famous Polish football player and later became a football manager. He was born on December 18, 1948, in Wieliczka, Poland. He passed away on November 18, 2020, in Kraków, Poland, at the age of 71.

Playing for Club Teams

Adam Musiał began his youth career at Górnik Wieliczka from 1955 to 1967. He then joined Wisła Kraków, one of Poland's well-known football clubs, in 1967. He played for Wisła Kraków for ten years, until 1977. During his time there, he played in 227 matches.

After leaving Wisła Kraków, he moved to Arka Gdynia, where he played from 1978 to 1980. He then had an adventure playing for Hereford United in England from 1980 to 1983. Later in his career, from 1985 to 1987, he played for Yonkers Polish American Eagles in the USA.

Playing for Poland

One of the biggest highlights of Adam Musiał's career was playing for the Polish national team. He played 34 matches for his country between 1968 and 1974.

He was a key player in the Polish team that achieved great success at the 1974 FIFA World Cup in West Germany. The team won the bronze medal, finishing in third place. This was a huge achievement for Polish football, and Musiał was an important part of that historic squad.

Life After Playing: A Coach

After he stopped playing football professionally, Adam Musiał decided to become a coach. He wanted to share his knowledge and experience with new generations of players.

He worked as an assistant manager at Wisła Kraków from 1987 to 1989. Later, he became the main manager for Wisła Kraków from 1989 to 1992. He also managed other Polish clubs, including Lechia Gdańsk (1992–1993) and Stal Stalowa Wola (1993–1995).
