Life and Career

Adam grew up in a family of classical musicians. He learned to play the violin, piano, guitar, and sing from a young age. He also loved the improvisational music of jazz. This led him to find inspiration in the Australian landscape.

Adam started playing the didgeridoo in the early 1990s. He began his recording journey with Johnny "White Ant" Soames. Together, they released their first album, Dawn Until Dusk (Tribal Song And Didgeridoo), in 1992. Two years later, they made a second album called Winds of Warning. Adam has also worked with other Aboriginal musicians, including David Gulpilil.

Adam Plack has also performed and recorded music under the name "Nomad." His first album as Nomad, simply titled Nomad (1994), was nominated for an ARIA Award for Best World Music Album. This is a big award in Australian music! A song called "With You" from his Songman album (1999) became very popular. It reached Number 2 on the Billboard Dance charts. It also won an award in 2001 from ASCAP, a group that supports musicians.

Since then, Adam has mostly focused on creating meditation music with Deepak Chopra. One of their projects, A Gift of Love (1998), features music set to translations of poems by Rumi, a famous poet. In 2002, Adam released Coco De Mer. This album put a new-age spin on classical opera songs.

Today, Adam Plack lives in Los Angeles. He works as a life-coach, helping people improve their lives.
