Adam Michael Rex (born May 16, 1973) is an American illustrator and author. He is well-known for creating exciting children's books and amazing fantasy art. Adam Rex was born in the United States and grew up in Tucson, Arizona.

Adam Rex's Creative Journey
Adam Rex studied art at the University of Arizona, where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. After college, he started his career by drawing for fantasy games like Magic: The Gathering. He also created other types of fantasy art.
How Adam Rex Started Writing Books
Adam Rex loved drawing fantasy art, but it was a bit tricky for him to start illustrating children's books at first. However, he soon found his way! His very first books, Tree-Ring Circus and Frankenstein Makes a Sandwich, were both published in 2006. Frankenstein Makes a Sandwich became a huge hit and even made it onto the New York Times best seller list.
