Adamstown Heights is a suburb in Australia. It is located south of Newcastle. This suburb is about 8 kilometers (5 miles) west-southwest of Newcastle's main city area.
Adamstown Heights is unique because it sits across two different local government areas. These are the City of Lake Macquarie and the City of Newcastle. On September 6, 1991, Adamstown Heights officially became a suburb of Newcastle.

Schools and Shopping
Adamstown Heights is home to two schools. Both schools were started in 1968.
- Kotara High School was established in 1968. It has a special feature: 3 hectares (about 7.4 acres) of native bushland. This area helps students learn about local plants and animals.
- Belair Public School also opened its doors in 1968. It serves the younger students in the area.
For shopping, the suburb is served by the Westfield Kotara shopping centre. This large shopping center is on the northern edge of Adamstown Heights. It has had a few names over the years, first called Kotara Fair, then Garden City Kotara, and now Westfield Kotara.

- The suburb is on several Newcastle Transport bus routes. These buses connect residents to different parts of Newcastle.
