Adamsville is a small village located in Muskingum County, Ohio, United States. In 2020, about 140 people lived there. It is part of the larger Zanesville area.

History
Adamsville was first planned out in 1832. It might have been named after John Quincy Adams, who was a former U.S. President. Another idea is that it was named after Mordecai Adams, who owned the land where the village was built.
A post office opened in Adamsville in 1837. This means people could send and receive mail there. The village officially became a town in 1864.
Geography
Adamsville is a very small place. According to the United States Census Bureau, the village covers an area of about 0.14 square kilometers (0.05 square miles). All of this area is land.
