History of Addyston Village
The village of Addyston got its name from Matthew Addy. He was the person who started the Addyston Pipe and Steel Company in 1891. This company was important to the area's early growth.
Recently, in November 2024, the village council made a big decision. They voted to end the village's own police department. This means that police services will now be handled differently in Addyston.
Geography and Location
Addyston is a small place, covering less than one square mile. Most of its area is land, but a small part is water. This water area comes from its location right next to the Ohio River.
