Neenah is a town located in Winnebago County, Wisconsin, in the United States. In 2010, about 3,237 people lived there.
Even though the City of Neenah is right next to the town, they are separate places with their own governments. The town of Neenah also includes smaller communities like Adella Beach, Ricker Bay, Snells, and Sunrise Bay.
A Look at Neenah's History
Over time, the size of the town of Neenah has changed. Some of its original land was used to create the Town of Menasha a long time ago.
Later, parts of the town were added to the nearby city of Neenah. In 2020, a piece of land meant for Neenah High School became part of the village of Fox Crossing. To help the town keep its income, leaders asked the city of Neenah to take over some valuable areas, like a power plant. This helped make sure the town still received important money.
Where is Neenah?
The town of Neenah covers a total area of about 46.2 square kilometers (17.8 square miles). A large part of this area is water.
About 20.6 square kilometers (8.0 square miles) is land, and 25.7 square kilometers (9.9 square miles) is water. This water area includes a section of Lake Winnebago, a very large lake in Wisconsin.
