Adenomus is a small group of toads, also known as true toads. There are only three types, or species, of Adenomus toads. All of them live in the country of Sri Lanka.
One of these species, Adenomus kandianus, was once thought to be completely gone from the world. People believed it was extinct for 133 years! But in October 2009, it was found again in the Kandy area of Sri Lanka. This was a very exciting discovery for scientists.
Types of Adenomus Toads

- Adenomus kandianus (named by Günther in 1872) - This toad is also known as the Kandyan Dwarf Toad.
