Adrian Holmes was born on March 31, 1974, in Wales. He is an actor who grew up in Canada. He is well-known for his roles in popular TV shows. These include 19-2 on Bravo, where he won a special award. He also played Uncle Phil in the show Bel-Air, which is a new version of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Adrian Holmes' Early Life
Adrian Holmes was born in Wrexham, Wales. His parents came from Barbados. When he was five years old, his family moved to Vancouver, Canada. Before becoming a full-time actor, Adrian studied nursing at Langara College. This was partly to make his mom happy. She wanted him to have a backup plan in case acting didn't work out. He also went to Queen Elizabeth Senior Secondary in Surrey, British Columbia.
Adrian Holmes' Acting Career
Adrian Holmes has been acting for a long time. He is most famous for his roles on television. He played Basqat in Smallville and Marcus Mitchell in True Justice. He was also Frank Pike in Arrow.
His most famous role was Nick Barron in the English version of 19-2. This show was on Bravo. For this role, he won a Canadian Screen Award for Best Actor in a Continuing Leading Dramatic Role in 2017. This is a very important award in Canada for actors.
Adrian has also been in movies. Some of his film roles include Red Riding Hood, Elysium, and The Cabin in the Woods.
In 2021, Adrian was chosen to play Uncle Phil in Bel-Air. This show is a drama reboot of the classic comedy The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Even Will Smith, who starred in the original show, approved of Adrian's casting! Recently, Adrian was cast as Robert April. This character is the first captain of the USS Enterprise. He appears in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. Before this, Robert April was only seen in a cartoon.
