Adrian Johnson's Baseball Journey
Adrian Johnson was born in Houston, Texas. He still lives there today. Before joining Major League Baseball, he worked in many different baseball leagues. These included the Gulf Coast League and the International League. He started working in MLB in 2006.
In 2006, he also helped umpire games in the 2006 World Baseball Classic. This is a big international baseball tournament. Adrian Johnson became a full-time umpire for Major League Baseball in 2010. In 2023, he was promoted to a crew chief. A crew chief leads a team of umpires during games.

Record-Breaking Game
On August 25, 2011, Adrian Johnson was the home plate umpire for another exciting game. In this game, the New York Yankees hit three "grand slams" against the Oakland Athletics. A grand slam is a home run hit when all three bases are loaded with runners. This means four runs score on one hit! Hitting three in one game was a record.
