Adrian McQuillan, born on June 8, 1965, in Ballymoney, is a politician from Northern Ireland. He has served in local government and the Northern Ireland Assembly.
He was a local councillor for the Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council from 2019 to 2023. Before that, he was a member of the Northern Ireland Assembly (MLA) for East Londonderry. He held this position from 2007 to 2017.

Adrian McQuillan's Career in Politics
Adrian McQuillan started his working life as a joiner. He also worked as a postman for 18 years.
Starting in Local Government
McQuillan first became a local councillor in 2001. He was elected to the Coleraine Borough Council for the Bann District. He was the only person from the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) to win a seat in that area. He was re-elected to the council in 2005.
Serving in the Northern Ireland Assembly
In 2007, Adrian McQuillan was elected to the Northern Ireland Assembly. He became one of three DUP representatives for East Londonderry. He served as an MLA until 2017, when he lost his seat in the election.
Return to Local Council
After leaving the Assembly, he was elected to the Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council in 2019. He represented the Bann District once again.
In January 2023, he left the DUP to become an Independent councillor. This happened after some disagreements with the party's leaders. He tried to get re-elected in the local elections later that year but was not successful.
