Adrian McQuillan, born on 8 June 1965 in Ballymoney, is a former politician from Northern Ireland. He served as a local councillor for the Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council in the Bann area from 2019 to 2023.
Before that, he was a member of the Northern Ireland Assembly (MLA) for East Londonderry. He held this position from 2007 to 2017 as part of the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP).

Adrian McQuillan started his working life as a joiner. He also worked as a postman for 18 years.
Early Steps in Local Government
McQuillan first became involved in local politics in 2001. He was elected to the Coleraine Borough Council in the Bann District. He was the only DUP councillor elected in that area at the time. He was re-elected to the council in 2005.
Serving in the Northern Ireland Assembly
In 2007, Adrian McQuillan was elected to the Northern Ireland Assembly. He became one of three DUP MLAs representing East Londonderry. He served in the Assembly for ten years. However, he did not win re-election in the 2017 election.
Return to Local Council and Becoming Independent
After leaving the Assembly, McQuillan was elected to the Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council in 2019. He represented the Bann District once again. In January 2023, he decided to leave the DUP. He then served as an Independent councillor. He ran for re-election in 2023 but was not successful.

Adrian McQuillan is a member of the Moneydig Presbyterian Church.
