The Afon Roe is a small river located in the stunning Snowdonia region. This beautiful area is found in the north-west part of Wales.

About the Afon Roe

The Afon Roe might be small, but it plays an important role in the local environment. It is one of many rivers that flow through the amazing landscapes of Snowdonia National Park.

Its Journey and Friends

Every river has a journey, and the Afon Roe is no different. As it flows, it collects water from smaller streams. One of these streams is called the Afon Tafolog.

The Afon Tafolog is a "tributary." This means it's a smaller stream or river that flows into a larger one. The Afon Tafolog brings water from the eastern slopes of a mountain called Drum. Drum is part of the Carneddau mountain range.

Where the River Flows

The Afon Roe continues its journey through the countryside. It passes right by the charming village of Rowen. After flowing past the village, the Afon Roe eventually joins a much larger river. It meets up with the River Conwy, adding its waters to the Conwy's flow.
