Afrixalus, often called banana frogs or leaf-folding frogs, are a fascinating group of small frogs. They are part of the Hyperoliidae family, a large group of frogs mostly found in Africa. These special frogs live in Subsaharan Africa, which is the part of Africa south of the Sahara Desert.

One cool thing about Afrixalus frogs is how they lay their eggs. They often place their eggs on plants above water. To keep the eggs safe, they can fold leaves around them! This clever trick helps protect their eggs from danger. This is why they are sometimes called "leaf-folding frogs."
