Website Afton Alps

Afton Alps is a popular ski area located in Denmark Township, Washington County, near Afton, Minnesota, in the United States. It sits right next to the beautiful St. Croix River.

This ski area has almost 300 acres of land where you can ski or snowboard. The highest point is 700 feet above sea level, and the lowest is 350 feet. This means there's a 350-foot drop from top to bottom, which is called the "vertical drop."

Afton Alps has 50 different ski trails for all skill levels. To help keep the slopes in great shape, they often use artificial snow. You can get around the mountain using one of their 17 chairlifts. There are also two conveyor lifts and two rope tows in the Landing Zone Terrain Park.

When you need a break, you can visit one of the six chalets. These include the Meadows Chalet, Highlands Chalet, Alpine Chalet, Landing Zone (which also has a Yurt), and the main Alps Chalet.

During the summer, Afton Alps changes into an 18-hole golf course. They also host weddings and other events.
