Agata Kulesza was born in Szczecin, Poland. She has an older sister. As a child, she took ballet and singing lessons. She decided to become an actress when she was in high school.

Starting Out (1993–2010)
After finishing school, Agata Kulesza began working at the Teatr Dramatyczny in Warsaw. Her first TV appearance was in a comedy series called Żegnaj, Rockefeller in 1993. She also acted in German TV shows.
Her first big movie role was in the Polish comedy-drama Człowiek z... in 1993. Over the next few years, she played many smaller roles. She also performed in theatre plays. Agata Kulesza was married to cameraman Marcin Figurski from 2006 to 2020. They met in 1996. They have one daughter, Marianna, born in 1997.
She has been friends with musician Kasia Nosowska since they were children. They grew up together in Szczecin. As of 2016, Agata Kulesza lives in Warsaw.
