How Towns Work Together
In 1966, several towns like Annemasse, Ambilly, and others decided to work together on different projects. This cooperation helped them share resources and manage things better.
This partnership became a "community of communes" on January 1, 2002. A "community of communes" is a group of towns that work together on shared services. Later, in 2008, the Annemasse community joined with another group from the Voirons area. They merged to form the current Annemasse – Les Voirons agglomeration community. This means they work even more closely together.
