Anna Marie Nanasi (born July 6, 1944 – died August 19, 2010), known professionally as Ahna Capri, was an American actress. She was famous for her role as Tania in the martial arts movie Enter the Dragon.
Her Early Life
Ahna Capri was born in Budapest, Hungary. Her parents were Hungarian. In 1950, her family came to the United States as refugees.
She had a younger brother named Louis. He later became an actor known as Peter Robbins. He was the voice of Charlie Brown in the Peanuts cartoon specials.
Her Acting Career
Ahna Capri started acting when she was a child. She appeared in many popular TV shows. These included Father Knows Best, The Danny Thomas Show, and Leave It to Beaver. She also had a role on The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show.
She made her first movie at age thirteen. It was called Outlaw's Son. After that, she acted in more movies and TV shows. In 1959, she was in two western TV shows. These were Wanted: Dead or Alive with Steve McQueen and Trackdown.
In 1962, Ahna Capri played Mary Rose in the TV comedy Room for One More. She also appeared in other TV shows like Maverick, Cheyenne, and 77 Sunset Strip.
Later, she acted in many other well-known TV series. Some of these included The Wild Wild West, The F.B.I., Mannix, The Mod Squad, Ironside, and Kojak.
In 1971, she played Linda Perry in two episodes of the crime show Dan August. This show starred Burt Reynolds. In 1972, she was in the movie Payday. From the 1970s, she started using the name Ahna Capri. This helped people say her first name correctly.
Her most famous role was in the 1973 martial arts film Enter the Dragon. She played Tania, the secretary of the villain Han.
Later Years
On August 9, 2010, Ahna Capri was in a serious car accident. A large truck hit her car. She was in a coma for 10 days. She passed away on August 19, 2010, at the age of 66.
