Aijalon Carlton "A.C." Cordoza (born 1989) is an American politician from Virginia. He was first elected to the Virginia House of Delegates in 2021. This is a group of people who make laws for the state of Virginia. He won against the person who held the job before him, Martha Mugler. Cordoza now represents the 86th district. This area includes parts of Hampton, all of Poquoson, and a small piece of York County.

Early Life and Education
Aijalon Cordoza was born in New York City. He grew up in Hampton, Virginia. In 2008, he finished high school at Hampton High School.
After high school, A.C. Cordoza joined the United States Air Force in 2013. He served for three years and then left honorably.
In 2014, Cordoza started college at Thomas Nelson Community College in Hampton. He earned an associate degree in information technology in 2016. An associate degree is a two-year college degree. Today, Cordoza works in cybersecurity at Newport News Shipbuilding. He still lives in Hampton.
Political Journey
A.C. Cordoza became interested in politics during the 2008 presidential election. He was inspired by the idea of the nation electing its first Black President, Barack Obama. After this election, Cordoza felt his beliefs matched the Republican Party more closely. He is now the vice-chair of the Hampton Republican Party.
Running for City Council
In 2020, Cordoza ran for the Hampton City Council. This was his first time running for office. He did not win this election. He came in fifth place, and the top three people became city councilors.
Winning a Seat in the House of Delegates
In 2021, Cordoza ran for the Virginia House of Delegates. He ran for the 91st district. He won against Martha Mugler, who was already holding the position. Cordoza won by a very small number of votes, just 94 votes at first. After a recount, which is a careful check of all the votes, he won by 64 votes. This was a very close election!
