Aires Bonifácio Baptista Ali (born 6 December 1955) is an important politician from Mozambique, a country in southeastern Africa. He served as the Prime Minister of Mozambique from January 2010 to October 2012. He has held many other important roles in his country's government and education system.

Early Life and Career
Aires Ali was born on December 6, 1955. He grew up in the Niassa province, which is in the northern part of Mozambique. His career began in education.
A Teacher and School Leader
From 1976, Ali worked as a teacher. He taught at the FRELIMO Secondary School in Namaacha. The next year, in 1977, he became the principal of Francisco Manyanga Secondary School in Maputo. A principal is like the head of a school.
Leading Education in Nampula
From 1980 to 1986, Aires Ali was the Director of Education for the Nampula province. This meant he was in charge of all schools and learning programs in that area. Later, in 1989 and 1990, he worked closely with the Minister of Education and Culture. He helped manage important projects for the country's schools.
Public Service Roles
Aires Ali has held several high-level positions in the Mozambican government. These roles helped shape education and public life in his country.
Governor of Inhambane Province
From 2000 to 2004, Ali served as the Governor of Inhambane Province. A governor is the leader of a province, similar to a state in other countries. They are responsible for managing the region's affairs.
