Inhambane is a province in the country of Mozambique. Mozambique is located in southeastern Africa. The capital city of this province is also called Inhambane. It is a beautiful area known for its stunning coastline and rich history.

History of Inhambane
A famous explorer named Vasco da Gama visited this region in 1498. He claimed Inhambane Bay for Portugal. This means he said it belonged to Portugal. Later, in 1534, the Portuguese set up a trading post here. This made Inhambane an important place for trade.
Nature and Parks
Inhambane Province is home to amazing wildlife and nature. It has two of Mozambique's national parks. These are special areas that protect animals and plants.
- Zinave National Park is in the northwest part of the province.
- Bazaruto National Park is on the Bazaruto Archipelago. This is a group of islands.
There is also a place called Pomene National Reserve.
People of Inhambane
