From 2013 to 2016, Aisling played Katie Benedetto in the crime drama series The Fall. This show was shown on RTÉ and BBC Two. Her first movie role was in Jimmy's Hall in 2014. The next year, she starred as Kate Crawford in the second season of the TNT series Legends.
Becoming a Star in The Nightingale
In 2016, Aisling appeared in the popular HBO series Game of Thrones. She played Lyanna Stark in both the sixth and seventh seasons.
Aisling then got the main role of Clare Carroll in The Nightingale. This movie was a drama set in Tasmania in 2018. Her performance in The Nightingale received great reviews. She won several awards, including an AACTA Award.
She also had other roles around this time. She was in the BBC thriller Clique as Georgia Cunningham. She also appeared in the Picasso series by National Geographic. In that show, she played Fernande Olivier.
