Early Life

Ajak Deng was born in 1989 in what is now called South Sudan. Her family had to leave their home because of a civil war. They became refugees, which means they had to find safety in another country.

They first moved to Kenya. Later, in 2005, they moved to Melbourne, Australia. Ajak was 11 years old when her mother sadly passed away from malaria. The Australian government then accepted Ajak and her family. She has seven brothers and sisters.

Modeling Career

Ajak Deng started her career as an international model. This means she worked for fashion companies all over the world. Her first big jobs included an advertisement for United Colors of Benetton.

She also walked in fashion shows for many famous designers. These included Valentino, Lanvin, Givenchy, and Dior. She modeled for other well-known brands too, like Calvin Klein, Louis Vuitton, and MAC Cosmetics.

In 2016, Ajak briefly stopped modeling. She tried out for a role as a "Bond girl" in a movie. However, she was told she was "too pretty" for the part. Since 2018, Ajak Deng has been one of the main faces for Fenty Beauty. This is a popular makeup brand.
