Akadi first opened its doors in the Boise neighborhood of Portland. This was at 3601 Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
Moving During the Pandemic
During the COVID-19 pandemic, many businesses faced challenges. Akadi's business went down by half in July 2020. Because of this, the owner, Fatou Ouattara, decided to close the restaurant temporarily on December 31, 2020.
