Alamo is a small town in Wheeler County, Georgia, United States. It is the main town and the county seat of Wheeler County. In 2020, about 771 people lived there.

History of Alamo
Alamo was started in 1890. It was a stop along the Seaboard Air Line Railroad, which was a train route. The town was named after the famous Alamo Mission in San Antonio, Texas. Alamo officially became a town in 1909.
The courthouse in Alamo was built in 1917. This building is now on the National Register of Historical Places. This means it is an important historical site. The Lamplighter Little Theatre, a local theater, has been around since 1919.
