Alan Metter facts for kids
Alan Dennis Metter (born December 19, 1942 – died June 7, 2020) was an American movie director. He was well-known for directing popular films like Back to School, which starred the comedian Rodney Dangerfield. He also directed Girls Just Want to Have Fun, featuring Sarah Jessica Parker.
Metter was born in Sharon, Massachusetts. Besides movies, he also produced and directed a television special in 1983 called The Winds of Whoopie. He passed away on June 7, 2020, from a heart attack in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He was 77 years old.
