Albert De Conti Cadassamare (born January 29, 1887 – died January 18, 1967) was an actor from Austria-Hungary. He was known professionally as Albert Conti. He became an Italian-American film actor.

Albert Conti was an actor who appeared in many American films. He was born in a village called Gorizia. This area is now part of Italy. Before becoming an actor, Albert studied law and natural science. He also served as an officer in the military.
Early Life and War
Albert Conti came from an important family. His father was Albert, Ritter Conti v. Cedassamare. His mother was Marie Bernhardine Anna, a Countess from an old noble family. When World War I started, Albert became an officer in the Austrian army. After the war ended, he was discharged. Like many other Europeans who lost their wealth after the war, he decided to move to America.
Moving to America
In 1919, Albert Conti moved to the United States. He arrived through the Port of Philadelphia. Even though he came from a wealthy background, he had to take many different manual jobs. These were jobs that required physical labor.
While working in the oil fields of California, he got a big break. A famous director named Erich von Stroheim was looking for someone. He needed an Austrian military officer to help with his new film. This person would be a technical advisor for the movie Merry-Go-Round (1923). Albert Conti fit the description perfectly.
Becoming a Film Star
Albert Conti was a talented actor. He was able to get good roles in many films. He acted in both silent movies and movies with sound. Some of his notable films include Morocco (1930) and the comedy Slipping Wives (1927). He also appeared in Dry Martini (1928).
Life After Acting
Albert Conti made his last film in 1942. However, he didn't leave the movie industry completely. He continued to work for MGM, a major film studio. He worked in their wardrobe department. This is where costumes for movies are kept and managed. He worked there until he retired in 1962.
