Albert Pallavicini facts for kids
Albert Pallavicini (also known as Alberto Pallavicini) was an important leader in a place called Bodonitsa. He became the fifth Marquess of Bodonitsa after his father passed away. He held this title until he died in 1311.
Albert's father was named Thomas Pallavicini. Thomas was a great-nephew of the very first marquess, Guy Pallavicini. Albert married a noblewoman named Maria dalle Carceri. She was from Venice and lived on an island called Euboea. Albert even gained control of one-sixth of the island of Euboea.

Serving the Prince
Albert was a very loyal supporter of the Prince of Achaea. The Prince of Achaea was a powerful ruler in Greece.
Joining Important Meetings
In 1305, Albert was called by his lord, Philip I of Piedmont. Philip asked him to attend a tournament and a meeting called a parliament. These events took place on the Isthmus of Corinth. This is a narrow strip of land connecting two larger landmasses.
Albert obeyed a similar call in 1307. This time, the summons came from Philip I of Taranto. These calls showed how important Albert was to the princes.
The Battle of Cephissus
On March 15, 1311, Albert joined Walter V of Brienne in a big fight. This battle was known as the Battle of the Cephissus. Sadly, Albert did not survive the battle.
What Happened Next
After Albert's death, his lands and title were passed on. According to the laws of the time, called the Assizes of Romania, his wife and daughter inherited his property. His daughter's name was Guglielma Pallavicini.
