Euboea (pronounced "Yoo-bee-uh") is a large island in Greece. It's not just an island; it's also one of Greece's 51 main areas, called prefectures. Euboea is the second biggest island in all of Greece! It covers about 3,655 square kilometers. This island is located east of two other Greek areas, Boeotia and Attica. The beautiful Aegean Sea surrounds Euboea. The main city and capital of Euboea is Chalkida, which is also the largest city on the island.
