Albert Quixall (born August 9, 1933 – died November 12, 2020) was a talented English professional footballer. He played as an inside forward, which is a type of attacking player who helps score goals and create chances for the team.

Albert Quixall was born in Sheffield, a city in West Riding of Yorkshire, England. He began his football career at a young age, joining his hometown club, Sheffield Wednesday. He quickly showed great promise as a player.

Joining Manchester United

In 1958, Albert Quixall made a big move to Manchester United. This happened after a very sad event for the club, the Munich air disaster, which affected many of their players. Manchester United's manager, Matt Busby, signed Albert to help rebuild the team.

The transfer fee for Albert was £45,000, which was a British record at the time. This meant he was the most expensive player ever bought by a British club. He played for Manchester United for six years, from 1958 to 1964.

Winning the FA Cup

One of Albert Quixall's biggest achievements with Manchester United was winning the FA Cup in the 1963–64 season. The FA Cup is a very famous football competition in England. Winning it was a huge moment for him and the team.

Later Career and England Caps

After leaving Manchester United, Albert Quixall continued his career with several other clubs. He played for Oldham Athletic, Stockport County, Altrincham, and Radcliffe Borough.
