Albert Reed Jr. (born January 28, 1910 – died May 31, 1986) was an American actor. He also worked as a law enforcement officer in real life!

He was best known for his role as Alderman Fred C. Davis on the popular TV show Good Times. Kids might also remember him from the adventure series The Secret of Isis, where he played Dr. Joshua Barnes.

Albert Reed Jr. also made guest appearances on other well-known TV shows. These included The Jeffersons and Sanford and Son.

Acting and Real-Life Roles

Albert Reed Jr. played "Lieutenant Ned Ordway" in the 1970 movie Airport. This role was very much like his real job.

Outside of acting, Reed had a long career in law enforcement. From 1959 to 1983, he worked for the Security Division at Los Angeles International Airport. He even became the Chief of Security from 1979 to 1983. This Security Division later became known as the "Los Angeles Airport Police."
