Alberto Entrerríos Rodríguez (born on 7 November 1976) is a famous Spanish former professional handball player. He was known for playing as a left back. He is 192 centimeters (about 6 feet 3 inches) tall.

Alberto played for many top handball clubs. He spent ten seasons, from 2002 to 2012, with a team called BM Ciudad Real. He also played for BM Atlético de Madrid for one season. He helped his teams win many important titles.

He was also a key player for the Spanish national team. He played in many international matches for Spain. His brother, Raúl Entrerríos, is also a well-known Spanish international handball player.

Alberto Entrerríos has won many awards and titles throughout his career. He was successful both as a player and later as a coach.

As a Player

Alberto was a very successful handball player. He won some of the biggest titles in the sport:

  • He played over 200 games for the Spanish national team.
  • He won the EHF Champions League three times: in 2006, 2008, and 2009. This is the top club competition in Europe.
  • He won the Spanish League five times: in 2004, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010. This is the main handball league in Spain.
  • He won two World Championships with the Spanish national team. These wins were in Tunisia in 2005 and in Spain in 2013.
  • He also won a bronze medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics with the Spanish team.
  • In 2013, he was chosen for the World Championship All-Star Team. This means he was one of the best players in his position at that tournament.

As a Coach

After retiring as a player, Alberto became a coach. He also achieved success in this role:

  • He was named the Best Coach of the EHF Champions League in 2021. This shows he is a great leader and strategist, even off the court.
