About Albino Lake

Albino Lake sits at a high elevation of 7,106 ft (2,166 m), which is about 7,106 feet above sea level. It is part of the Gallatin National Forest, a large protected area. The lake is fed by water from the Madison Range and flows into Meadow Creek. Meadow Creek then joins the Taylor Fork river.

Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks is a group that watches over the fish and wildlife in Montana. They have reported that the rainbow trout population in Albino Lake has disappeared. The last time rainbow trout were added to the lake was in the 1950s. However, the Yellowstone cutthroat trout are still living and thriving in the lake today.
