Albion Landing is a special place in Michigan. It is an "unincorporated community." This means it's a group of homes and buildings that are part of a larger area. It doesn't have its own separate local government like a city or a town.

Albion Landing is located in northeastern Calhoun County. It sits right on the southeast shore of Duck Lake. You can find it about ten miles north of Albion. It is also about twelve miles south of Charlotte, Michigan. There was once a place called Charlotte Landing just north of Albion Landing on Duck Lake.

Where is Albion Landing?

Albion Landing is part of Clarence Township. This entire area is also part of the Battle Creek, Michigan Metropolitan Statistical Area. A Metropolitan Statistical Area is a region with a large population. It includes a main city and the smaller areas around it that are closely connected.

History of Albion Landing

The land where Albion Landing now sits was sold in 1919. It was bought by a group called the Albion-Duck Lake Improvement Association. They started building summer cottages along the lake for people to enjoy.

Later, in 1948, the area was officially mapped out. A new road was built to help people get around. This road eventually became known as Country Club Lane. Today, Albion Landing is often simply called Duck Lake. It is known for its many beautiful and luxurious homes. The Duck Lake Country Club is also located nearby, offering activities for residents.
