Alcolea is a small town, also called a municipality, located in the Almería province of Spain. It is part of the Andalusia region in southern Spain.

Alcolea is a charming place nestled in the mountains. It sits about 736 meters (around 2,415 feet) above sea level. This high location gives it beautiful views of the surrounding area. The total area of Alcolea is about 67 square kilometers.

History of Alcolea
Alcolea has a long and interesting past. For many years, a Jewish community lived there. This community was present from the year 1320 until 1414.
After a very important discussion or debate, known as the disputation of Tortosa, the Jewish community in Alcolea eventually ended. This event was a significant part of the town's history.
