Alderetes is a city in the Tucumán Province of Argentina. It is located in the Cruz Alta Department. The city is found near the Salí River to its west. It shares borders with other towns and areas in the region.
Alderetes is known as an industrial area. This means many factories and businesses are located there. The city officially became a part of the San Miguel de Tucumán metropolitan area on September 1, 1987. A metropolitan area is a large city and the smaller towns around it that are closely connected.
