Aldo Sebastián Corzo Chávez, born on May 20, 1989, is a professional football player from Peru. He plays as a right-back for Universitario de Deportes, a club in Peru's top football league, and also for the Peru national team.

Early Life and Football Start
Aldo Corzo was born in Lima, Peru, on May 20, 1989. His parents are Jorge Corzo and María Roxana Chávez. Aldo started playing football in the youth teams of Regatas Lima. A former player, Jaime Duarte, noticed his talent and brought him to Alianza Lima.
Club Football Journey
Aldo Corzo has played for several important football clubs in Peru. He has shown great skill and dedication throughout his career.
Starting with Alianza Lima
Aldo joined Alianza Lima's main team in 2008. His coach, Richard Páez, gave him his first chance. In August 2008, Aldo played his first official game. It was a 2–0 win against Sport Boys. He played the whole game and did very well. After that, Aldo became a regular player for Alianza Lima. He helped the team avoid being moved down to a lower league. The next year, in 2009, he played in the finals of the Peruvian league. However, his team lost to Universitario de Deportes.
Success with Universidad San Martín
On January 7, 2010, Aldo Corzo signed a two-year contract with Universidad San Martín de Porres. With this team, he won the Peruvian league title in 2010. He also played in international tournaments like the 2010 Copa Sudamericana, the 2011 Copa Libertadores, and the 2012 Copa Sudamericana. Aldo played a total of 153 matches for Universidad San Martín and scored 5 goals.
Time at Deportivo Municipal
After five seasons with San Martín, Aldo moved to Deportivo Municipal for the 2016 season. He quickly became the main right-back for the team. Deportivo Municipal reached the playoff semi-finals that year, finishing in fourth place. Aldo scored 6 goals and was even nominated for the best player award.
Playing for Universitario de Deportes
In December 2016, Aldo Corzo joined Universitario de Deportes. He signed a contract for two seasons. With Universitario, he played in the qualifying rounds of the 2017 Copa Libertadores and 2018 Copa Libertadores. He was a regular starter for the team. At the end of 2018, his contract was extended for three more seasons. He has continued to be a key player for Universitario.
International Career with Peru
Aldo Corzo has also proudly represented his country, Peru, in many international football matches.
Early National Team Appearances
Aldo was part of the Peru U-20 team in the 2009 South American Youth Championship. On February 2, 2009, he was called up to the senior national team. This was by the coach at the time, Jose 'Chemo' del Solar. He played in a friendly match against El Salvador, which Peru lost 1–0.
In June 2011, the new coach for the Peru national team, Sergio Markarián, gave Aldo another chance. He played in a friendly game against Senegal on June 28, 2011, in Lima. This was the last friendly before the Copa América tournament began. Aldo played the entire match, and Peru won 1–0.
2011 Copa América Success
Aldo's strong performances convinced coach Markarian to include him in Peru's team for the 2011 Copa América. He played his first Copa América game against Chile in the group stage. Even though Peru lost, Aldo played very well as a left back. He stopped Chile's star player, Alexis Sánchez, from scoring.
Aldo's second game in the tournament was against Venezuela in the third-place match. He started the game again and played strongly as a right-back. He helped Peru win the match 4–1, earning the bronze medal. This was Peru's best result in the Copa América since 1975.
Copa América Centenario and World Cup
Aldo's good play with Deportivo Municipal led to him being called up for the Copa América Centenario in 2016. He played in 2 out of 4 matches in that tournament. In May 2018, he was chosen for Peru's team for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Playing Style
Aldo Corzo mainly plays as a right-back. He is naturally right-footed, but he can also play on the left side of the defense. He is known for his amazing stamina, which means he can run a lot during a game. He also likes to help his team attack and defends very aggressively. Aldo is also fast and has good control of the ball.
