Alex dos Santos Gonçalves (born on May 20, 1990) is a professional football player from Brazil. He plays as a forward, which means he is usually one of the main goal scorers for his team. Alex currently plays for Monsoon.

Alex's Football Journey
Alex was born in Porto Alegre, Brazil. He started his football career playing in the youth teams of Grêmio. This is where many young players learn the basics of the game.
Playing in Europe
In August 2008, Alex moved to Europe. He joined a Serbian club called Teleoptik. This club is connected to a bigger Serbian team, FK Partizan. Alex played for Teleoptik for two seasons. In his first season, he helped his team finish second in their league. This helped them get promoted to a higher league, the 2009–10 Serbian First League. They did well in the second tier, finishing sixth.
Back to Brazil
After his time in Serbia, Alex returned to Brazil. In August 2010, he signed a short contract with Fluminense. He later extended his contract with them until the end of 2012. During this time, he was loaned to Internacional. This is where he played his first game in Brazil's top league, the Série A.
More European Adventures
In January 2012, Alex went back to Europe. He was loaned to a Romanian club called Concordia Chiajna. Later that year, in July 2012, he was loaned to another Romanian team, Universitatea Cluj.
Moving Around Clubs
In February 2013, Alex joined Tombense after his contract with Fluminense ended. He also played on loan for América de Natal. There, he played his first game in Brazil's second division, the Série B.
Alex then went back to Romania for a third time. He was loaned to Pandurii Târgu Jiu in August 2013. In June 2014, he moved to Portugal. He joined Moreirense, a team that had just moved up to Portugal's top league, the Primeira Liga.
After Portugal, Alex was loaned to a Turkish team, Yeni Malatyaspor, in July 2015. Six months later, he returned to Tombense. He then played his first game in Brazil's third division, the Série C.
Alex continued to play for various clubs, often on loan. These included Capivariano and Botafogo-SP.
Recent Career
In 2018, Alex played for Água Santa and Botafogo-PB. In 2019, he joined Sertãozinho before moving to Persela Lamongan. He then played for Persikabo 1973 from 2020 to 2021. Later in 2021, he played for Melaka United and Persita Tangerang. In 2022, he briefly played for Veranópolis before joining his current club, Monsoon.
