Alexandra Tower: A Modern Home in Liverpool

Alexandra Tower stands 88 metres (290 ft) (about 289 feet) tall. It has 27 floors. Inside, there are 201 apartments. This makes it a busy place for people to live. The building was designed by AFL Architects.

Facing a Challenge

In 2010, a large glass panel broke and fell from the building. The exact reason was not known. People thought it might have been due to big changes in temperature. For safety, scaffolding was put up around parts of the building. This was to catch anything else that might fall.

The company that built Alexandra Tower, Millennium Estates Ltd, faced problems. The building was seen as unsafe because of issues with some of its glass panels.

A New Beginning

In 2015, a new owner bought Alexandra Tower. His name is Colin Wright. His company, Mersey Investments Ltd, took over. Colin Wright is a developer from Dubai. He worked to fix the glass problems. He also completed other unfinished work inside the building. Thanks to his efforts, the building was made safe again.
