Alf Kjellin (born February 28, 1920 – died April 5, 1988) was a talented actor and director from Sweden. He worked in many movies and also directed episodes for popular TV shows.
Biography
When Alf Kjellin first started working in Hollywood, his name was changed a couple of times. One movie studio called him Christopher Kent. Another studio later changed his name to Christopher Kelleen. He made one film using each of these new names.
A movie producer named Stanley Kramer wanted him to change his name again. But Alf Kjellin decided he wanted to use his real name from then on. He was already a well-known movie actor. He also took on roles in television shows sometimes.
For example, in 1965, he played Colonel Max Richter in a two-part episode of Twelve O'Clock High. Alf Kjellin also directed many TV episodes. He directed over 130 episodes for shows like The Alfred Hitchcock Hour and The Man from U.N.C.L.E.. He also directed episodes for The Waltons and Dynasty. He even directed two Columbo episodes in the 1970s.
Alf Kjellin was born in Lund, Sweden. He passed away in Los Angeles, California, due to a heart attack.
