These games were played without any fans in the stands. The first match was on June 14, 2020. Real Madrid won 3–1 against Eibar in a league game. The team continued to play here without spectators throughout the 2020–21 season. They returned to the Santiago Bernabéu for the 2021–22 season.

The stadium also hosted the Spanish national team for the first time. This happened on September 6, 2020. Spain played against Ukraine in a UEFA Nations League match. Spain won that game 4–0.
The Spanish national team played another game here on October 10, 2020. They faced Switzerland in the 2020–21 UEFA Nations League. Spain won that match 1–0. Both of these international games were also played without fans.
