Ali Tabatabaee (Persian: علی طباطبایی پور; born February 27, 1973) is an Iranian-American musician. He is one of the two main singers in the rock band Zebrahead. With his bandmate Matty Lewis, he sang the theme song "His World" for the 2006 video game Sonic the Hedgehog.

Ali Tabatabaee was born in Tehran, Iran on February 27, 1973.
Early Life and Music Journey
Before joining Zebrahead, Ali was a student at UC Irvine. He studied Biology and also took classes in Theater. After finishing college, he planned to take a year off. During this time, he wanted to prepare for medical school.
However, during this break, he started singing with the other members of Zebrahead. The band began to become successful. Ali was accepted into the University of Chicago Medical School. But because Zebrahead was doing so well, he decided to put off medical school for a year.
He realized that music was his true passion. He said, "I didn't expect music to go anywhere." He thought he would only do it for a year. But then he decided he didn't want to go back to school. He believes music is a great way to share culture. Some of his favorite bands include A Tribe Called Quest, System of a Down, and N.W.A..
Music and Health
In 1999, while on the Warped Tour, Ali faced a health challenge. He was diagnosed with a type of cancer called Hodgkin's Disease. He received special treatments, including chemotherapy and radiation therapy, and got better.
He has shared that some songs from that time are very special to him. This is because of what he was going through.
Working with Other Artists
Ali Tabatabaee has also worked with other bands. He appeared on the Reel Big Fish DVD You're All in This Together. He sang on the song "Unity" with them. This song was originally by Operation Ivy.
Zebrahead became very popular in Japan. Because of this, Sega asked Ali and Matty Lewis to record a new theme song. This song was called "His World". It was featured in the 2006 game Sonic The Hedgehog. Ali also helps to write most of the songs that Zebrahead performs.
