Alisha Rebecca Glass Childress (born April 5, 1988) is an American professional volleyball player. She plays as a setter for the Vegas Thrill team. A setter is like the quarterback of a volleyball team. They decide where the ball goes and set it up for other players to hit.
Alisha played college volleyball for Penn State. There, she helped her team win three NCAA championships in a row. She also won a gold medal with the U.S. national team at the 2014 World Championship. She earned bronze medals at the 2015 World Cup and the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.

Playing Career
High School Volleyball
Alisha Glass played volleyball at Leland High School in Michigan. Her mom, Laurie Glass, was her coach. Her grandpa, Larry Glass, coached her in basketball.
Alisha was named one of the best players in her state and region four times. She set national and state records for aces (points scored directly from a serve) and kills (powerful attacks). She was also great at digging (saving the ball) and blocking. Alisha was named Michigan's top high school player.
College Volleyball
Alisha played college volleyball for Penn State University. During her four years, her team had an amazing record of 142 wins and only 5 losses. They even had a winning streak of 102 games in a row!
Penn State won the NCAA championships in 2007, 2008, and 2009 with Alisha. They also won four Big Ten Conference titles. Alisha was named an All-American three times. She helped her team achieve a record-setting hitting percentage.
Playing for Team USA
Alisha Glass played for the U.S. national team. In 2014, she won a gold medal at the World Championship. Her team beat China 3-1 in the final. Alisha was chosen as the "Best Setter" of that tournament.
She also helped the U.S. team win a bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. Again, she was named the "Best Setter" of the Olympics.
