Alison Sealy-Smith has had a long and successful career in acting. She is one of the people who started Obsidian Theatre. This is a special theater company that focuses on plays and stories by African-Canadian artists.

She has won awards for her amazing acting. In 1997, she won a Dora Mavor Moore Award for her role in a play called Harlem Duet. She won another Dora Mavor Moore Award in 2009 for her outstanding performance as Lena in the play A Raisin In The Sun. These awards celebrate the best in Canadian theater.

Alison has appeared in many TV shows and movies. Some of her TV roles include Street Legal, This is Wonderland, and The Line. She also had a regular role in the series Kevin Hill.
