The Church Clock
In 1867, All Saints' Church got a brand new clock for its tower. This special clock was made by Reuben Bosworth, a famous clockmaker from Nottingham. It was designed to chime every hour and every quarter-hour.
There's a message on the clock that says, "Presented by Mrs. Lesiter, widow of the Rev. Charles Lesiter, late vicar of this parish, May 1867." This means Mrs. Lesiter gave the clock to the church in memory of her husband, who used to be the vicar (a type of priest) there.
