Allegiant is an exciting science fiction book for young adults. It was written by American author Veronica Roth. HarperCollins published it in October 2013. This book finishes the Divergent series. Veronica Roth started the series with her first book, Divergent, in 2011.
You get to read the story from the viewpoints of two main characters: Beatrice (Tris) and Tobias (Four). After big discoveries in the last book, Tris and Four travel outside their city. They want to find out what is really beyond its walls. Allegiant was released at the same time in the UK by Katherine Tegen Books and HarperCollins Children's Books. A free online companion book came out four weeks before. It was called The World of Divergent: The Path to Allegiant. The book was also made into movies. The first movie, The Divergent Series: Allegiant, came out on March 18, 2016. A second movie, Ascendant, was planned but later cancelled.
