Allen is a small village located in Dixon County, Nebraska, in the United States. It is found south of US Highway 20. The village is between Martinsburg, Nebraska, and Wakefield, Nebraska. Allen is part of the Sioux City metropolitan area. In 2020, about 355 people lived there.
Village History
Allen was started in 1890. This happened when the railroad lines were built to reach that spot. The village was named after Henry Allen. He was the first owner of the land where the town was built. Allen officially became a village in 1893.
