Life and Career Journey
Allen Maldonado grew up in California. His mother mostly raised him because he lost his father when he was young. Allen's family background includes both Puerto Rican and African-American heritage.

While working on the TV show Black-ish, the show's creator, Kenya Barris, gave him an idea. Kenya inspired Allen to create an app that would help short films get more attention. This app, called Everybody Digital, started on October 3, 2017. People have described it as "the Netflix of short films" because it helps many short movies find an audience.
Allen Maldonado also joined the cast of the 2018 movie Superfly, which was a new version of a 1972 film. He also played Cousin Bobby in the TBS series The Last O.G.. His character, Bobby, grew and changed alongside the main character, Tray, played by Tracy Morgan.
