Allen Maldonado (born May 20, 1983) is an American actor, filmmaker, and business owner. You might know him as Curtis from the comedy show Black-ish, or as Bobby from the series The Last O.G.. He also played Rooster in the drama series Heels and Alan Decker in the movie Psych 3: This Is Gus.
Besides acting, Allen is an entrepreneur. He has his own clothing line and created an app called Everybody Digital, which helps people discover short films.

Life and Career
Early Life and First Roles
Allen Maldonado grew up in California. He was raised by his mother, as his father passed away when he was young. Maldonado's family background is both Puerto Rican and African-American.
His first big acting role was in the movie Friday After Next. He has said that the famous rapper and actor Ice Cube gave him his first chance to be on a movie set. After that, Maldonado started making his own short films. His films were shown at many festivals and won awards.
Creating an App for Films
Even though his short films were successful, Maldonado felt that not enough people got to see them. He wanted to find a better way to share short films with the world.
While he was working on the TV show Black-ish, the show's creator, Kenya Barris, gave him an idea. This inspired Maldonado to create an app just for short films. The app, called Everybody Digital, was launched on October 3, 2017. It has been called "the Netflix of short films" because it lets you stream many different short movies.
Major Roles
In 2018, Maldonado was in the remake of the classic movie Super Fly. He also had a main role in the TBS comedy series The Last O.G.. He played Cousin Bobby, a character who grows and changes alongside the main character, Tray, played by Tracy Morgan.
